Privacy Statement Regarding Customer and Online User Information
This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which DataCube collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the DataCube data recovery website (“Site”). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by DataCube. This Privacy Statement does not apply to the websites of our data recovery service providers or to any other third parties, even if their websites are linked to our website. We recommend you review the privacy statements of the other parties with which you interact.

DataCube complies with the South Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act.
 

Personal Identification Information
We may collect personal identification information from you in a variety of ways when you visit our site, in relation to orders, filling out forms, and other activities, services, functions, or resources provided by our site. You may be asked for an appropriate name, email address, email address, and phone number. However, users may visit our site anonymously. We collect personal identification information from you only if you voluntarily submit such information to us. Users may always refuse to provide personal identification information, except when it is possible to prevent them from participating in certain site-related activities.


Non-Personal Identification Information
We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer, and technical information about Users’ means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

DataCube may collect and use Users’ personal information for the following purposes:

To improve customer service: We may use information provided by users to help us respond to customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
To personalize user experience: We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site.
To improve our Site: We may use feedback you provide to improve our products and services.
To process payments: We may use the information Users provide about themselves when placing an order only to provide service to that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service.
 To run a survey or other site function: You have agreed to receive information about a topic you think might be interested in.

Users may find advertising or other content on our Site that link to the sites and services of our data recovery service providers, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors, and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.


Personal Information Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent Users’ personal identification information to others. We will provide notice and opt-out choice if ever DataCube does share such information with non-agent third parties. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our reseller service providers, trusted affiliates, and advertisers for the purposes outlined above. We may use third-party service providers to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending out newsletters or surveys. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes. If you do not wish to have your personally identifiable information shared with third parties, contact our Privacy Policy Coordinator as described at the end of this document. We are potentially liable in the case of onward transfers to third-party service providers.

We may disclose your Personal Information in connection with law enforcement, fraud prevention or other legal action; as required by law or regulation; or if DataCube reasonably believes it is necessary to protect DataCube, its customers, or the public. DataCube may be required to provide personal information in response to a lawful request from governmental authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.


International transfer of Personal Data
Because of the international nature of our business, we may need to transfer your Personal Data within DataCube, and to third parties as noted above, in connection with the purposes set out in this Policy. For this reason, we may transfer your Personal Data to other countries that may have lower standards for data protection than the South Korea due to different laws and data protection compliance requirements to those that apply in the country in which you are located.

 
How To Access And Control Your Personal Data
You have choices about how to manage your personal data and what types of communications you receive from us. If you contact us, we will endeavor to respond to your inquiry within 30 days. Please note that we may have a legal obligation to preserve certain data.

How We Protect Your Information
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored on our Site.

 
Data Retention
In principle, if there is no reasonable request, it should be discarded after 6 weeks of storage after sending the backup device.

In the event any relevant legal claims are brought, we may keep your Personal Data for such additional periods as are necessary in connection with that claim.

DataCube has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

Shipping Policy Agreement*

I have read and agree to the shpping policy.

This policy is a shipping policy for the shipment of products and the receipt of products in accordance with the application for Data Cube Data Recovery Service, and please comply with the followings.

– Shipping the product to us is considered to agree to proceed with the data recovery.

– Customers are responsible for payment of shipping costs, taxes, and other general charges for the packages customers ship to DataCube.

– Customers may choose any carrier to ship products. DataCube recommends to select a reliable express carrier company to minimize chance of damages or loss.

– DataCube will pay the shipping cost from DataCube to customers. However, customers should pay import taxes and other incurred expenses if there’s any.

– DataCube is not responsible for any loss or damages that occurs during transportation. We recommend that customers purchase cargo insurance for the shipment.

– To protect customer’s data from any unexpected exposure, DataCube will encrypt all recovered data in the return media which will be shipped to customers. The password will be shared with customers by email.


– DataCube does not accept COD. Deliveries arriving at DataCube by COD will be DENIED.

– Expected data recovery turn-around-time is 15 business days or less in general, and DataCube will inform customers when there’s an excessive delay. Turn-around-time is defined as the time difference in days between the day DataCube receive a Customer’s storage device and the day the recovered data is shipped or provided to the Customer.

Pricing Policy Agreement*

Data Recovery and Backup device costs
 – Data Recovery cost will be charged only when the data recovery is finished successfully.
 – Please refer to the links below for the cost of recovery and backup devices – backup device is for storing the recovered data.

 – If data recovery fails, only a $50 process fee will be charged instead of the data recovery costs defined in the link above.
 – Additional cost may be asked for special situations which may happen rarely. DataCube will inform customers in advance for agreement when this happens.

Backup device selection
 – Without special request from customers, the backup device model will be selected base on the size of recovered data.
 – Please do not send your own backup device to avoid probable transportation damages and inbound/outbound taxes.

Cancelation Charge
 – There will be no cancelation charges before starting recovery works. However, the original device will be returned to customer by COD (Cash On Delivery) in this case.
 – If it’s canceled after starting recovery works, 50% the recovery cost to be charged for cancelation and the original device will be returned by cash on delivery.
